OLATHE, Kan. ... Berry golfer Jarod Trammell topped the list of second team All-American honorees, as the NAIA released its men's golf All-Americans on Friday.
Trammell, a junior from Jasper, Ga., led the team with six top-10 finishes during the season and was in the top-20 eight times. That included 12th place finish at this year's NAIA National Championship Tournament, which landed him on the NAIA All-Tournament Team. He also earned a spot on this year's NAIA Region XII/XIII All-Tournament team.
This season Trammell had the team's best stroke-average as he averaged 73.66 strokes per round. Trammell's best finish of the 2006-07 season came at the Buffalo Rock/Southern Shootout, where he shot a five-under par 208 and placed fifth overall at the event.
This season the Berry men's golf team finished the season with an NAIA National Ranking of No. 11 in the country. The Vikings then went on to finish fifth place at this year's NAIA National Championship Tournament at Indiana National Golf Course in Plymouth, Ind. Two players, John Hopper and Trammell earned All-Tournament honors at this year's tournament.
