KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2007-08 scholar-teams, and the Southern States Athletic Conference had 28 teams representing 7 schools on the list.

Leading the charge was Berry College with 12 teams, Shorter College with six, Reinhardt with four, Auburn-Montgomery and Southern Wesleyan both had two and Lee University and Emmanuel College both had one.

In order to be a scholar-team, teams must earned at least a 3.0 team grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the 2007-08 academic year, as defined by its institution.
